My Cookie Cottage, we love sharing our passion for baking with our community. That’s why we offer cookie decorating classes for beginners of all ages.
In every class, you will do some piping practice, we will talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing!
You will be guided step-by-step through the process of decorating 6 unique cookies, ensuring that you leave with unique, beautifully decorated pieces of edible art!
We provide everything you will need from pre-baked cookies, bagged icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in. You just need to come and decorate!
Our classes are great for ages 12+.

When was the last time you gathered your besties for a night of sugary fun? It's time to bring your 'Sprinkle Squad' together for a night of laughter, icing, and cookie magic! My Cookie Cottage is thrilled to offer an entertaining experience where you and your crew can master the art of decorating with royal icing.
Guess what? If you're the host, your cookie decorating dreams come true for FREE, courtesy of My Cookie Cottage. For your fabulous friends, it's just $45 per person. This inclusive deal includes all the goodies - decorating supplies, an hour of My Cookie Cottage’s expert tips, six blank cookies per person, four icing bags bursting with colors, a royal icing practice sheet, a cute cookie box to carry home your creations, and even borrowed scissors.
My Cookie Cottage will lead the way by covering some basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Then your guests will experience a step-by-step decorating experience. If you have the ability for us to hook up our laptop or phone to a TV or screen to project our step-by-step slideshow, that would be great!
After about an hour, once everyone feels like cookie decorating rockstars, the last part of the experience is freeform decorating time for attendees to complete their remaining three cookies on their own with my step-by-step instruction sheet. At that time I will vacate the premises to allow you & your guests to enjoy your private time together.
Need more cookies or extra icing colors per person? Easy peasy! My Cookie Cottage has your back with a per-person upcharge. Many people like to purchase add-on DIY kits so they can teach their kids when they get home! Sprinkles, royal icing transfers, recipe cards, snazzy printed image customizations, step-by-step printouts, and bonus instruction time are all included on the menu.
My Cookie Cottage will travel within a 25 mile radius of Carpentersville for no charge.
Outside of that area there will be a small upcharge for mileage.

Here's how it works:

3. Choose your designs from my Class Design Gallery.
4. Once you accept the price quote and pay you will be booked!
5. Invite your Squad to your home (minimum of 5 attendees, with you as the 6th).
6. Collect the cash from your attendees to pay yourself back - you're the financial maestro.
7. Prepare an area in your home with seating and a table surface for each person.
8. My Cookie Cottage brings everything else needed.
“Corporate Cookie Crafters”
Instructor-Led Private Decorating Session for Corporate Events
Minimum attendance requirement: 15 participants
Elevate your corporate events or team building sessions with our Instructor-Led Private Decorating Parties, tailored for gatherings such as corporate team-building events or birthday celebrations. These exclusive events are hosted at the location of your choice, whether it be your corporate office or a rented event space.
My Cookie Cottage ensures a seamless experience by providing comprehensive cookie decorating supplies at a nominal cost of $35 per attendee. This package includes essential items such as 3 blank cookies per participant, 3 icing bags in an array of colors, a royal icing practice sheet, a convenient cookie box for attendees to transport their creations, along with paper towels and borrowed scissors for added convenience. Our commitment to excellence extends to providing step-by-step color handouts to facilitate a comprehensive understanding during the live instructional session and demonstrations.
The instructional fee is $100 per hour, with the typical session lasting one hour, allowing participants to decorate three cookies. You can choose your designs from our pre-designed gallery.
While we primarily serve the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, locations beyond 25 miles from 60110 incur an additional flat fee. Enjoy a hassle-free transaction as there is NO sales tax on top of the listed price.
Should you anticipate the need for more than 3 cookies or 4 icing colors per attendee, our team is delighted to accommodate such requests for a per-person upcharge.
Our sessions can accommodate up to 40 attendees, ensuring effective guidance and personalized assistance. Larger groups may be accommodated by scheduling multiple sessions.
